3,200 scanners, 700 check readers, 6,800 personal computers, and 2,000 printers. The project “ESSIG Non-Life” (Evoluzione Strategica Sistema Informativo di Gruppo Danni, strategic development of the Group’s Non-Life information system) is also launched. It involves the replacement of the old IT architecture based on mainframe/3270 with a modern Internet system enabling faster execution and operational simplicity, making facility maintenance leaner and improving the service quality to internal and external customers. Designed at the end of 2006 as a three-year project, the project had to undergo a strong acceleration in connection with the commencement of the multi-mandate. The new information system connects the headquarters with 5,200 outlets and covers a total of 11,000 users approximately.
