Unipol Gruppo Finanziario (UGF) is established

On 1 September, the implementation of the project to reorganize and strengthen the Unipol Group is completed. During the same:
- Unipol launches a public purchase offer on the total number of ordinary shares of Aurora;
- Unipol Assicurazioni and Aurora Assicurazioni (later merged by acquisition into the current Unipol Gruppo Finanziario) contribute their insurance branches to the wholly owned companies, Nuova Unipol Assicurazioni and Nuova Aurora Assicurazioni;
- the pre-existing Unipol Assicurazioni changes its business name to Unipol Gruppo Finanziario;
