On 4 December, for the second consecutive year Unipol wins a prestigious award which further confirms the commitment and transparency of its corporate communication. In fact, after the Oscar for best financial statements in 2000 for the insurance sector, Unipol in 2001 wins the award for social reporting, with the following motivation: “The Special Prize is awarded to Unipol, and also serves as a “lifetime recognition” which rewards its continuous and pioneering efforts. In fact, in this eighth edition of its social responsibility report, Unipol has made some important innovations. Whether by using it as an incisive corporate governance tool, engaging some important categories of its stakeholders - member organizations, Unipol Regional Councils, Government agents - in the commitments and effects they produce, or by increasingly facilitating its dissemination and accessibility, including through lean editions targeted to and differentiated by stakeholder”.
