Italy's commitment at the international level for a sustainable and resilient recovery

Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals requires an exceptional effort by all components of society, by institutions and business at the international, national and local levels. In particular, a cohesive effort by the international community is needed to ensure that national and territorial actions are aligned with the global ambition of the 2030 Agenda, which aims to bring the whole world on a path of sustainable development by 2030, leaving no one behind.

To contribute to the recovery from the Covid-19 crisis, the second event organized by the Secretariat of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development proposes a reflection focused on the three major international events taking place in close proximity to and in collaboration with the Festival, Cop26, Expo Dubai and the G20 under the Italian presidency. Furthermore, the Festival, already recognized by the UN SDG Action Campaign as an innovative initiative and a unique experience at international level, has confirmed its collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci), with the aim of continuing to expand also in other countries through the involvement of the Italian diplomatic offices, also spreading the messages of the event abroad and enhancing good practices at a global level.

The event will take place in conjunction with other initiatives, acting as a virtual "bridge" and focal point for the introduction of the SDGs in their agendas. It will also be an opportunity to present the research that the Alliance has carried out on the positioning of the G20 countries according to the SDGs.

The event will be broadcast in Italian and English with simultaneous translation service.
