Go-ahead for the sixth edition of Culturability

The call for applications will be open between 15 April and 16 June.

“Culturability” is back, the call for applications that has been promoted by the Unipolis Foundation since 2013: €600 thousand was allocated in 2020 for innovative cultural centres established from the revival and reuse of abandoned or underused spaces, buildings or former industrial sites. The Unipolis Foundation decided to confirm the call for applications at this stage of the healthcare emergency generated by the Coronavirus. At a time of profound cultural, economic and social crisis, it therefore wishes to support the numerous cultural organisations experiencing difficulties that will continue to suffer from the effects of the closure of their spaces over the next few months along with the cancellation of their events in this period.

The sixth edition of one of the main national calls for applications which aims to support the cultural spaces that look after the forgotten heritage of the country this year has been completely updated.  The call for applications is open to new Italian centres established through bottom-up revival projects that have been active for at least two years, places where innovative cultural projects with social and civic impacts are developed, that experiment with new forms of engagement and collaboration with local communities. “Culturability” 2020 wishes to support the best cultural centres in Italy in a process of expansion and consolidation to last until 2022.

Culturability is a call for applications that has been promoted by the Unipolis Foundation since 2013. This is the sixth edition of the initiative which has achieved excellent results in terms of the participating projects and quality of the proposals. Unipolis has invested a total of over one million 860 thousand euros; 3,112 proposals have been received, 80 projects have been awarded training and mentoring programmes and 39 have also received financial support.
