UnipolSai has launched a structured and integrated action plan for the benefit of the population affected by the recent flood events in Emilia-Romagna with the aim of supporting customers and agencies residing in the areas affected by the floods.

In detail, the plan of initiatives in favour of the communities affected includes: 

Non-Life Sector 

  • Extensions and deferrals: extension of the default terms from 15 to 90 days for expiries between 1/5/2023 and 31/7/2023, three-month deferment of the monthly portfolio automatic mechanisms (reversals, blocks, charges), suspension of recovery activities for deductibles not yet repaid and of premiums in arrears until 31/7/2023.
  • Self-certifications to replace documentation normally necessary.

Life Sector 

  • Extension of premium payment terms from 30 to 90 days for premiums due between 1/5/2023 and 31/7/2023.
  • Reactivation of contracts extended from 6 to 12 months, until 30/9/23, without any request for further health checks or further statements on the state of health of the insured.
  • Suspension of redemption penalties until 30/11/2023.
