In this context, Galleria San Federico will be the stage for the work “Migrations” (climate change) by Piero Gilardi, a Turin-born advocate of artistic research with new technologies. This project refers to the mass animal migrations caused by global warming: the piece shows a flock of migrating pelicans in flight, searching for cooler climates, while the alternation of blues, purples, reds and yellows alludes to the sky at sunset. The installation consists of 12 pelican silhouettes (plus 2 fragmented silhouettes) applied to a vertically suspended net, which gradually light up and fade following a control algorithm defined by Piero Gilardi and implemented by Heinrich Vogel.

The location in Turin, Galleria San Federico, is a symbol of the city returned to its citizens thanks to major restoration works and significant intervention by Unipol within the context of the real estate redevelopment project underway in main Italian cities under the “Urban Up” brand.
