Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia wins the last Grand Prix of the season in Valencia and, after a thrilling rivalry with Jorge Martin throughout the championship, is proclaimed MotoGP world champion for the second year running, aboard his beloved Ducati Desmosedici. This is his third world title, after winning Moto2 in 2018 with the Sky Racing Team VR46.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​Pecco Bagnaia and Ducati’s victory is a milestone achievement, officially placing him among the sport’s greats: only 13 riders and two Italians, the legendary Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi, have ever won two consecutive world championships in the highest class of motorcycle road racing. And Bagnaia is the only rider to have won two MotoGP world titles for Ducati.
