On 11 December 1989, the placement with the public of 5,280,500 ordinary shares is held successfully. They represent 18% of the ownership share of the Volksfuersorge Group of the Federal Republic of Germany. This transaction is aimed at the dissemination of the Unipol ordinary shares, to allow their admission to official listing on the stock exchanges. The relevant request to CONSOB is approved by the Ordinary General Meeting of shareholders held on 11 September 1989.
