On 18 February, the new supplementary contract is signed. In addition to confirming and introducing improvements to economic and regulatory statutes already covered under the previous contract, the 1985 agreement introduces the important principle that, before ordering the transfer of an employee involving a change in residence, the Company will try to obtain prior consent of the interested party, previously informing the trade unions about the reasons for such choice.
