With reference to the press release issued by Banca Nazionale del Lavoro S.p.A. (‘BNL’) at the end of today’s meeting of the Board of Directors, concerning the free share capital increase intended for employees as bonus for the year 2004 (‘Capital Increase’), the following is hereby clarified.
