During 1996, Unisalute develops a network of agreements with entities (initially with 300 facilities) operating in the Health sector (private clinics and public hospitals, polyclinic centers and laboratories, dental and rehabilitation centers), with the intention of offering its customers a network of services capable of solving their health care needs with speed and quality. The first actual operational year ends with a number of policyholders around 30,000 units, premium volume of ITL 14 bln and settlement of 8,500 claims and some 20,000 phone calls handled by the telephone exchange.
