The adaptation of the information system for the year 2000 is planned and organized in time. At the end of June, a test of the entire system is performed using the augmented power of the mainframe computer, defining an appropriate “test environment” dated 2000. The final months of the year are devoted to testing programs and simulating the transfer of data, to verify the full compatibility of programs.  Insurance measures are also set up to prevent and limit any possible consequence in terms of damage and litigation. The computer adaptation cost for the year 2000 is estimated at about ITL 2 bln.
