The Unipol Group continues to support the Bologna Jazz Festival which registers its fifteenth edition this year and is scheduled to take place between 30 October and 15 November.

A memory-filled celebratory edition which will mark the centenary of the birth of Charlie Parker, with a tribute played by the sax trio comprising Francesco Cafiso, Mattia Cigalini and Jesse Davis; a heartfelt salute to Steve Grossman, a towering figure in the history of jazz that left an indelible mark on the Bologna music scene; and Paolo Fresu’s monographic project on David Bowie, a pop star who also lit up the jazz world.

The festival will be held in the Bologna theatres hosting the main concerts as well as numerous other locations in the city, municipalities in the greater metropolitan area and the region as a whole. The programme will also include a significant educational component: a conference and exhibition on Steve Grossman, the well-consolidated collaboration with BilBOlbul - International Comic Festival - to create Festival’s images and the works shown on the Jazz Bus and the CHEAP on-board notice boards, designed this year by the famous illustrator Paolo Bacilieri.

As a Partner for the event, the Unipol Group will support one of the highlights of the festival when Steve Grossman will be celebrated on Friday, 6 November at 9.15 p.m. at the Manzoni Auditorium.

The partnership with Bologna Jazz Festival forms part of the Unipol Group Corporate Sponsorship Program which embraces a number of different areas - culture and artistic heritage, the environment, scientific research and social utility, sport and entertainment - based on the idea that imagining people’s futures also means helping to create opportunities for growth and development in their areas of interest.
