On 17 November, an agreement is signed between Unipol and the trade union organizations for the creation of “retirement benefits” provided for by the national collective bargaining agreement of 20 October 1987. In fact the establishment by 1988 of a “pension and social assistance fund” of Unipol workers is decided. When enrolled employees leave service they will be given a supplementary pension in the form of an annuity or capital on the basis of the amount paid by way of contribution of the Company and the worker. The contribution paid by the Company is set at 1% and the one paid by the employee is set at 50% of the amount paid by the Company.
This agreement therefore establishes an additional pension in the insurance sector which will be updated at the next corporate agreement.
