  • Over the last decade there has been a drop of 20.2% in road accident victims in Italy, higher that the European average of (-18.6%).
  • "Saturday night slaughters" have been significantly reduced. Today's emergency is represented to the elderly "designated victims" of road accidents.
  • In 2050, Italy, unless action is taken, will be the European country with the highest number of deaths and injuries from road accidents in over 65s.
