Responsible Investment

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors may affect both risk and performance assessments.

Through the adoption of our Guidelines for investment activities, we defined the criteria for conduct, the value of reserves and the scope of transaction permitted, with the aim of ensuring the solidity of the Group and the integration of ESG assessment for assets under management.

The ESG integration process requires us to assess the extent to which the ethical and sustainability criteria and objectives have been adopted in the management of the Group’s investment portfolio, though independent quarterly sustainability screening.

We also promote the development of guarantees and investment products to encourage mitigation and adaptation.

The Unipol Group’s focus on Sustainable and Responsible Investments (SRIs) is also shown by its pursuit of various investments that combine the objectives of profitability and risk management with attention to the social and environmental sustainability aspects of the business invested in.

Investments in the green economy include Fondo Ambienta, Fondo Energheia and Fondo F2i Andromeda Finance S.r.l.

With regard to investments of social relevance, Unipol is present in the sector of social housing, through stakes in FondoHousing Toscano, Polaris Parma Social House Fund and the Housing Sociale FVG Fund. More information is available on the website, in this section.
